A daily writing prompt and a cooped up author/writer/journalist. What could possible go wrong?

Good morning everyone! Long time no write (sorry about that).
To say life is cray cray right now might be a bit of an understatement. We're still in the midst of a global pandemic and many people are going back to work. There's so much fear and uncertainty, and it seems like everyone is walking around on pins and needles, just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I cover sports for a living, and the other shoe has dropped several times in the last few weeks. The teams I cover won't take the court/field until 2021 if everything goes according to plan. It's a surreal experience, knowing this is supposed to be the busiest time of the year, and yet, I've spent more time cleaning my office than designing graphics.
Writing has got me through this weird and bizarre time. I've finished editing the first book of the Epic Series for the fourth time (title still pending...) and started on the second (currently titled UNTITLED BOOK 2). To get the juices flowing, I respond to a writing prompt similar to the one below:
You discover a library with a biography for everyone on earth. While reading your own, you notice that whenever someone else is mentioned, there's a footnote showing where you can find their biography. It's odd how someone who was only a sentence in your book has a whole chapter for you.
And that, essentially, is the birth of "Daily Docs", my new blog series where I write short stories/novellas based on writing prompts. Each week day (maybe some weekends, boredom brings out some of my kookiest characters), I'll post a response to a simple writing prompt. I'll also continue to post updates on the novels, and stay tuned for a special "Meet and Greet" with the characters next month!
Also cover art... ALL OF THE COVER ART!
Thanks!
Have a great day,
K.P.
